🥵 Here we have the west wall of our house, it used to get the full summer sun in the afternoon, which would heat up the bricks and heat up the rooms inside.☀️

🌳By planting ornamental, deciduous capital pears, we have created a beautiful garden to screen the fence as well as providing shade for the house in summer and in winter the pears lose their leaves which lets the sun in and provides passive heating. 😎
