At Ballarat Advanced Tree Nursery, we understand that everyone’s needs are different. We are committed to making our nursery as welcoming, inclusive and supportive as possible for people with mobility challenges, disability access needs, sensory sensitivities, hidden disabilities, or anyone who may need a little extra assistance during their visit.

Mobility support and golf cart tours -

For customers who have difficulty walking or prefer not to walk through the nursery, we can offer pickup from your car in our comfortable golf cart. Your entire nursery tour can be completed from the cart, including viewing trees, receiving advice from our team, selecting plants, and completing payment. This means no walking is required if that better suits your needs.

Please note: our golf cart can carry one customer at a time.

Loading and delivery assistance -

Our team will happily assist with loading your car, trailer or ute after your visit.

If taking your plants home is not suitable, we can also organise delivery to your home.

Easy access nursery layout -

Our nursery has flat, compacted gravel paths throughout. There are no stairs or ramps, and the paths are suitable for wheelchairs and mobility aids.

For customers towing trailers, our nursery is set up with a simple roundabout-style driveway. You can drive in, load up, and continue forward to exit — with no need to reverse a trailer.

Onsite toilet -

We have an onsite unisex toilet available for customers. The toilet has handrails; however, please note it does not accommodate a wheelchair inside.

Hidden disabilities and sensory needs -

We understand that not all disabilities are visible. If you have a hidden disability, sensory sensitivity, anxiety, fatigue, or any other specific need, please let us know so we can do our best to support you.

Our nursery tours are generally quiet, relaxed and one-on-one with a staff member, which allows us to provide calm, personalised assistance without the pressure of a busy retail environment.
