How many trees do I need to form my hedge?

This will depend on the height you want your full-grown hedge to be:

1000mm high hedge - plant 600mm apart

2000mm high hedge - plant 1000mm apart

3000mm high hedge - plant 1500mm apart

TIP - If you want your hedge to fill in quicker, plant trees closer together.

Where does it grow best?

Grow in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Mulch and water regularly while establishing; Robusta is drought tolerant and frost hardy once established.
