Why choose a Castlewellan Gold Leyland Cypress? This fast-growing, upright evergreen develops dense golden foliage, adding colour as well as privacy to a boundary or shelter planting. It responds well to clipping, so its width and height can be managed with regular trimming.

How can I use it in my garden?

• Plant as a boundary hedge for tall privacy screening

• Use along a rural fence as a wind filter or shelter line

• Create an evergreen backdrop behind feature trees and flowering beds

Where does it grow best?

Plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil and water regularly while it establishes. It is described as drought and frost tolerant once established and reliable in cool climates.

What does it look like through the year?

Soft golden-yellow foliage with brighter new growth remains evergreen, providing year-round screening and structure. Regular clipping helps keep the growth dense and tidy.
