Tomato Potato Pysllid - ( For interstate plant movements )

From 8 December 2025, Victorian businesses sending nursery stock interstate need to meet the import conditions set by the destination state/territory for Tomato Potato Psyllid (TPP). These conditions vary depending on the destination and the type of nursery stock being moved.

What is TPP and why does it matter?
TPP (Bactericera cockerelli) is a small sap-feeding insect that attacks plants in the Solanaceae family (including tomato, potato, capsicum/chilli and eggplant). It can also settle on non-host plants, which are treated as “carriers” for biosecurity purposes.
Since detections in Victoria, interstate movement rules have tightened and many states now require treatment, inspection and certification before plants can be shipped.
What are ICA-62 and PS-57?
These are Agriculture Victoria accreditation pathways that allow accredited nurseries to self-certify eligible nursery stock for interstate movement under TPP rules.
-
ICA-62 is used for TPP carrier nursery stock.
-
PS-57 is an additional accreditation specific for sending carrier nursery stock to QLD
Which states are we accredited for?
-
ICA-62 → NSW / NT / QLD / SA / TAS
-
PS-57 → QLD only
-
Western Australia (WA) - We are unable to send plants to WA at this point.
What does this mean for our customers?
We are accredited and our IP number is V10503.
If you are ordering plants from us to be sent interstate, please allow extra time for biosecurity treatment, inspection and certification paperwork where required.
